26th
September 2008 News from
Japan and
USA is just in.
Anyone interested in a nearly finished G15,
email here.
We've been working on a mystery
G12.... |
22nd
September 2008 We have genuine round tube
G4 in stock.
The chaps at the Ginetta factory
are finally coming to terms with working closely with our little
operation.......We are looking to sponsor the
right person who buys our G27 race car
and enters it in the
Club Ginetta
Series next year.
We should have the dates and regs for next year's
Ginetta Heritage Race Series very soon and there is an online G15 user
guide in the pipeline. |
12th
September 2008 We love racing. Racing
customers take priority. We were a little
perturbed to learn that someone might not want to go Ginetta racing
because he felt that; should he have an incident, the spares would take
a long time to come to fruition. In fact, the period of 9 months was
mentioned! When Mark Faulkner had an off at Spa
(not his fault) he had a new front and rear for his G12 fitted in 2
days! Brian Ashley and several
other G12 and G4 racers have had a similar service, not that there is a
huge demand. We have all the G4 and G12 panels in
stock. We have G12 chassis and a G4 chassis of each type
in stock!! We have donor G15 chassis and
the jig right here. And now with the support of the factory we are
beginning to fill up our G15 moulds too.
We have almost everything for a racing Ginetta G4, 12
or 15 on the shelf. It's some of the trim and restoration items that
take a little longer. With only 180 man hours of highly skilled,
Ginetta experienced labour capacity a week, the restorations do
take time - especially if a race job comes in to jump the queue. But if
a racing customer has a problem we can assure a rapid turnaround as long
as the budget is there; and at £35 + VAT an hour we are not expensive! |
11th
September 2008 The Heritage Races went
extremely well despite awful weather on Saturday. There's
some good stuff on the
bulletin board.There was a great
party put on by Ginetta Cars on Saturday
night. Ginetta Heritage and our Races have become an
integral part of the Factory's racing efforts
and we will be announcing a full season of dates and new regs very soon.
There
were lots of fascinating and beautiful Ginettas on show as well as
racing ones.
Celebrities like Damon Hill, Chris Meek and allegedly
Vicky B-H were free to wonder about and enjoy the scene with us mortals
although Chris seemed to attract at least one keen
interviewer.
Recent
Ginetta articles in Autosport and Motorsport Magazine were interesting
and there's one in the November issue of Classic and Sports Car too.
G15 Carpet sets are now listed and there is one set in the next
batch available. |
3rd
September 2008 The Heritage Race entries
consist of G4s, G12s and G11/10s. It's going to be a
great couple of days. We are expecting all sorts of lovely classic
Ginettas on display including a G2, G17 , G18 and G22.
Tickets for people we had promised have not arrived but
will be available on the gate. Ring Spadge on 07831 843922 if you need
to. GOC members can get in free with their membership card anyway.
Sadly the
G33 bonnet mould was missing from the pile of moulds we collected -
lost in a fire apparently. We will make a new mould if there is enough
interest.
We are going to do a batch of
G15 carpet kits - let us know if you want one!
We had an interesting meeting at Lola Cars last week
about the Historic UK Sports Racing and Prototype Racing Series for
which the G12 and G16 will be eligible. More news soon. |
20th
August 2008 We went up to the
Factory yesterday. Like us, but on a
different scale, they seem to have a lot on.
There are some exciting versions of the G50 about including the
road car that has a boot for two sets of Golf
clubs, and electric G50 and a 500 + bhp G50.

We rescued all the old moulds which means that we
can now produce panels and in most cases COMPLETE SHELLS for the
following on behalf of Ginetta Cars: G4, G8, G10, G11, G12, G15, G17,
G18, G22, G4/4, G29, G32 and G33. |
|
18th
August 2008 We're back. There's some news
from Japan and
USA.
Entries are flooding in for the
Heritage Race now so get yours in if you have not already done so.
You should see the trophies! |
3rd
August 2008 The office is closed
until 18th August. The workshop will continue to function but we are
not open for visitors.
The Ginetta Japan
section finally has some content and we look forward to building on
that in the coming months. |
2nd
August 2008 Possibly the widest
Ginetta G21 we've ever seen
was collected for work this week. Jaguar IRS and a Cosworth V6 and all
sitting on 15" rims!.
The
G15 Parts list is growing on the Bulletin Board and check out
the latest news from America.
Peter
St Barbe's G4, repatriated from
Canada is now in one piece and off for paint, ready for the
Ginetta Heritage Race Series.
We will also be involved with a new UK Historic Sports
Racing and Prototypes Race Series along with Chevron and Crossle which
will be of interest to those lucky folks with G16, G12 and G4R. As long
as they are to period specification replicas will be able to race along
side the genuine cars. The first 1 hour Race is in October. |
24th
July 2008 Regulations for the
Ginetta Heritage Races 6th/7th September are now out.
If you have not received a copy
Email Spadge NOW!
The lovely green
G27 advertised here has been reduced to £7,500! |
23rd

G27 is on
Ebay right now .
The red G15

G4 restoration kit in for sale
with a choice of engines for £9,500.

15th
July 2008 Hugh Smithson's
G15 is back from the
paint-shop.
There's a nice tidy G15 on
Ebay. We have a G15 in for some wiring and another for
re-commissioning.
The red one we have for
sale is now here with more
pictures and details available soon.
The G20 details
are now available. |
3rd
July 2008 Those
G20s are provoking some interest. The factory fleet of
G20s will be available to hire for racing at The Ginetta Festival
6th/7th September. For details of buying, hiring or just trying, email
Charlie Kemp.
A particularly significant
G32 is up for sale and is in
fantastic condition, we're told.
G15 Roll Cages can now be ordered and the old G15 pricelist should
be available online soon. |
1st
July 2008 We went to see the
G50 at Snetterton last week.
It was very impressive and the pictures of the new road car looked
great.
LNT generously lent Spadge some overalls, a pair of Richards boots and a
G20, which was nice!
There are some bargain G20s coming soon and the Ginetta Heritage Race
Series
Regulations are literally hours away. |
25th
June 2008 We've been ridiculously
busy recently. The things we can
tell you about include Eric's G27 Ebay special that ended up with a new
engine amongst other things!
There's now some content on our USA page with news of the next big event there
coming soon.
We
were thrilled to be able to buy one of only 8 surviving G2s last week.
It's not far off being a runner and may be destined for the
Ginetta
Cars Heritage Collection.
However, it's such a delightful little thing that we would be pleased to
keep it. |
9th
June 2008 We took the new van
to Snetterton yesterday. There was some excellent
Ginetta racing and a G50 stood
up to a massive crash very well indeed.
We've bought a G4 to race in the
Ginetta Heritage Series.
Workshop projects include a G27, two
G15s and a G12 |
22nd
May 2008 There's a nice G27R on
ebay which isn't as high specification as
ours but would make a good car for
the
Club Ginetta
Series. There's
lots of news about the Ginetta Heritage Race series on the
bulletin board and on the Ginetta
Factory site.
If you've wondered what we do when it's sunny and
we're not racing, we often get the G19
out........ |
17th
May 2008 Dennis is taking his
G10 up to Mallory Park for
the Chris Meek celebration this weekend. Also there will be the
G4R from
the Factory and Tony Webb in a

have so far indicated that they are coming to the Heritage Race on the
Bulletin Board. |
9th
May 2008 The
G27 runs, drives and stops!
It's a cheap way into Club Ginetta
at £4950Our own
G4 has sold already, so our plans
to rebuild that one for the September festival have been scuppered. |
6th
May 2008 The weather has been great
for driving a G4 about recently so
we took some photographs at last.In the
workshop we have a G15, a
G4 and a G27. In
the bodyshop, our own

1st
May 2008 We were up at the

exciting with lots of good stuff on the Bulletin Board.
We have a G27 coming
in for some work today and two for sale.
See the new page.
We should get the G4
on Wednesday. |
14th April 2008
Dave Randall was out at Cadwell
yesterday. He qualified 2nd, dropped to 4th at the start and made
it past the Griffith and an Elan in an exciting and very wet race to
finish 2nd overall.We have just bought a
G27 Race car with huge potential (i.e. it'll be
cheap!) The Dare G4 is here, taxed
and in a climate controlled pod. And there's a 1966 square -tube G4

at Cadwell Park over the weekend was a great success.

hardy Ginetta Owners Club members.
The racing was terrific and the
hospitality first class. Thanks chaps! |

owners and fans of all ages and models of the marque. |
|
7th February 2008
After an enlightening visit to the
Ginetta Factory
yesterday we came away in the knowledge that the Company
really is going places. It's a top quality facility, recently opened by
Damon Hill, complete with a boardroom like something out of a Batman
film, gym for the staff, canteens, huge stocks of engines and a
storeroom run with military precision.
With production of Ginettas at an unprecedented level in terms of
numbers and quality, the massive
investments made seem also to be making financial sense.
The Company is also well aware of us lot with the old cars (they are
getting quite a collection of
their own!) and will be running 2 Ginetta Festival events which will
feature historic Ginetta racing and other stuff for road Ginettas:
Cadwell Park April 5th and 6th and Mallory Park September 6th and 7th.
|

even more impressively pulled it out of the hole it had sunk into when
it was time to scoot off to the next meeting.
Patricks G4 is coming on well. |

Fordwater Trophy and we are helping Joe
Throbnozzle
with a Cortina 1500 GT amongst other things. |
28th August 2007
We went to France and fell in
love. Does anyone have a GSM Delta or Dart we can look at to help us
work out how to rebuild the one we just adopted?

And within an hour of returning to the office, the
orange G15
was
SOLD. |

11th August 2007
These two beauties both left
here yesterday. Our orange racer to a career in USA and John's silver
beauty to its home in Bolton. Spadge is off to France for a couple of
weeks - more exciting news on his return. Anyone passing is welcome to
check up on the boys in the workshop, but we suspect that they will
mainly be lying about in the sun! |
