Ginetta
G32 Convertible POA
Ginetta G32
Convertible chassis number 120. Dark green paint work with cream
leather seats and headrests. Light colour toned interior carpet and
rear shelf, original fit detachable rollover hoop shown in factory publicity photos. Foldable
hood and mechanism in
good condition with effective sealing. Manual door window winders but central
door locking and alarm. Electronic immobiliser fitted by previous owner
(receipted) for insurance purposes. Pye stereo radio/cassette with
handle for easy removal. External motorised radio aerial fitted
into rear offside wing.
The engine is a 1.6 EFI Ford 110 BHP unit with
a five speed gearbox unit as fitted to the Escort/Fiesta XR range .
The car has the original fit eight spoke
Mille Miglia alloy wheels and good tyres. Registered as J262YDT the car was first licensed on
24th september 1991 to a lady in Doncaster (though we don't know if she was a
vicar who only used it to drive to church). The vehicle has had
four owners. The second owner sold in March 1996
at 38600 miles. The third owner sold in August 1998 at 56,000 miles.
The mileage is
currently 58600 with all MOT certificates and many service receipts to support
it.
Recent work done by the current
owner includes new front brake discs and pads, replacement tyres where necessary, new
stainless steel exhaust system by Hayward and Scott. The car originally had a catalysor
fitted but this
was removed when the new exhaust system was designed. The car runs as original on 95 RON
unleaded fuel. Valve stem seals replaced , alternator and starter motor freshly
overhauled, replacement larger capacity battery.
Waxoyled underside where accessible. The rear plastic screen in the hood was replaced
last year for cosmetic reasons. The hood has been treated with 'revitalisor' liquid
protection and has a matching hood cover to conceal the hood when in the down
position.
Car specification is to the later series spec and
the car
is one of the last production run. Consequently the car benefits from stiffer
front springs and is identifiable by having a header bar mounted interior lamp.
Another feature is that the fuel tank filler has a factory specified locking
fuel cap.
The car is currently in good condition
throughout though some
dull paintwork on one rear wing shows evidence of some earlier repair work, and
there is
some very slight crazing of odd panels. The interior is excellent and the car runs
well. The rev counter earthing needs tracing as it is currently not working but
the needle kicks
when turning the ignition on so it's assumed to be only a minor problem.
