Ginetta Heritage Ltd has
been formed from the Ginetta related elements of Cottage Classics Ltd,
with the full support and financial input from Ginetta Cars Ltd, to
support and supply the classic Ginetta market and the Ginetta Heritage
Race Series.
Spadge
Hopkins formed Cottage Classics in 1994 as there was no real
support for Ginetta sports cars. The company moved from
Essex to Framlingham, Suffolk in November 1998 supplying parts, service,
sales, and expertise backed by Spadge's copious files on just about
every Ginetta ever made.
Spadge has actively raced both
Ginettas and MGs providing a very practical background for historic race preparation.
With racing comes the inevitable shunts and the company's GRP
expertise has rocketed with the ability to make panels and replacement
parts for almost all significant Ginetta models.
Spadge has a solid engineering
background. He was a Captain in the Royal Electrical and
Mechanical Engineers resigning
take a directorship in a successful electronics company for a few years
before leaving to pursue
his passion for motor sport and sports cars. His enthusiasm and
knowledge are very real, and moving into a Ginetta-only sphere is the
realization of a long held ambition.
